معرفی
Prof. Dr. Daniel Krappmann is a Professor affiliated with Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and leads research at Helmholtz Zentrum München's Department of Cellular Signal Integration. He serves as Project Leader for SFB 1054 Project A04, focusing on molecular regulation of T cell homeostasis and activation through MALT1-TRAF6 interactions.
His research spans critical areas of immunology with emphasis on:
- T cell signaling pathways
- Signal transduction mechanisms in immune cells
- Molecular regulation of lymphocyte fitness
- TRAF6 ubiquitination networks
- Autoimmune disease pathogenesis
- Therapeutic target identification
Prof. Krappmann's laboratory investigates how MALT1-TRAF6 interactions control T cell activation thresholds and homeostasis, with implications for cancer immunotherapy and autoimmune disorders. His work integrates biochemical, genetic, and cellular approaches to dissect signaling complexes in primary immune cells.
He maintains active collaboration with LMU's Immunology division through the SFB 1054 consortium while operating his laboratory at Helmholtz Zentrum München's Neuherberg campus.
