Daniel Hyson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL), where he has served since 2014 and became Director of the School Psychology graduate program in 2022. His work bridges equity-focused teaching, systems-level data analysis, and teacher-student relationship dynamics.
Education:

Research Interests: Dr. Hyson's work emphasizes data-driven decision making, teacher-student relationship impacts, and equity in education. He co-authored the influential book *The Data-Driven School* (2020) and has published extensively on school psychology practices. His approach integrates collaborative problem-solving frameworks, particularly Ross Greene's CPS model, to address behavioral challenges in schools.
Professional Contributions: Prior to academia, he worked as a school psychologist (2001–2014) and data coordinator in Minnesota.
