Daniel Halberstam is the Eric Stein Collegiate Professor of Law at the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor. He has been a faculty member since 1999, progressing from Assistant Professor to full Professor in 2005, and to his current named professorship in 2008. He served as Associate Dean for Faculty and Research from 2016 to 2020. Professor Halberstam is a leading scholar in constitutional law with expertise spanning both American and European legal systems.

Professor Halberstam's research focuses on comparative constitutional law, with particular expertise in European Union law and United States constitutional law.
