Assoc. Prof. Daniel Grúň is an Associate Professor at the Department of Theory and History of Art at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. His research focuses on art and politics in Eastern Europe, history of art criticism, and documentary strategies in contemporary art. He holds a PhD from the Academy of Fine Arts and has completed postgraduate studies there. Grúň has received prestigious awards including the Fulbright Scholarship (2012) and the Igor Zabel Award (2010). He has curated notable exhibitions like 'Committed to Change' and 'Museum of Parallel Narratives.' Grúň is actively involved in academic organizations such as tranzit.sk and the Slovak Section of AICA.
