Dr. Daniel Gardner is an Associate Professor at Silberman School of Social Work, City University of New York, with expertise in geriatric social work, palliative care, healthcare disparities, and family caregiving. He holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University and M.S.W. from University of Pennsylvania.
His research examines palliative care access disparities, financial burdens of illness, LGBTQ+ aging, and community-based interventions for underserved elders. Dr. Gardner leads NIH-funded projects on palliative care in minority communities.
