Daniel E Warshay is a Professor of the Practice of Engineering at Brown University, where he serves as Executive Director of the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship. With a background in startup ventures (including Clearview Software, acquired by Apple) and corporate leadership at Procter & Gamble, Warshay brings practical expertise to his teaching. He has co-founded companies across software, materials, and media industries and is internationally recognized for his See Solve Scale framework for structured entrepreneurship education.

Warshay's research interests focus on empirical approaches to entrepreneurship, emphasizing bottom-up consumer research, open-book management, and innovation frameworks. Key awards include the Nathalie Rutherford Pierrepont Prize (Brown's first such award for teaching impact), Merrill Hassenfeld Leadership Award, and Dave Zucconi Brown Pride Award.
