معرفی
Dr. Daniel Dundas is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Physics at Queen's University Belfast (QUB), affiliated with the Centre for Light-Matter Interaction (CLMI). He specializes in theoretical physics, focusing on quantum dynamics in laser-matter interactions, molecular electronics, and ultrafast phenomena. His research explores electron behavior in molecules under XUV pulses, stability of hole states, and nanowire properties. He has led/co-led multiple projects, including an active Advanced Theoretical Network for Modelling Light-Matter Interaction (since 2018) and a Photoelectron Spectrum Library initiative (2015–2016).
- Education: Not explicitly stated in text.
His research interests span quantum physics, computational modeling, and theoretical chemistry, with a focus on applications in molecular systems and nanomaterials. Recent work includes studies on dipole instabilities in molecules and curl maps in nanowires.
Publications reflect contributions to understanding electron dynamics, laser-driven processes, and quantum transport. His work has been disseminated in high-impact journals like Physical Review A and The European Physical Journal D.
- Awards: EPSRC Postdoctoral Fellowship in Theoretical Physics (2001).
- Grants/Projects: Led or co-led 4 projects since 2010, focusing on theoretical frameworks and computational tools for light-matter interactions.
- Labs/Teams: CLMI at QUB, collaborating on advanced theoretical and computational methods.
