Daniel D. Von Hoff, M.D., is a Distinguished Professor at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) and City of Hope, with a concurrent role as Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic. His research focuses on the development of novel anticancer agents, particularly for pancreatic cancer, and spans over five decades.

Dr. Von Hoff has pioneered the development of numerous FDA-approved drugs for breast, lung, colon, prostate, pancreas, skin cancers, and leukemia, including gemcitabine, paclitaxel, and vismodegib. His clinical trials have led to three of the four FDA approvals for advanced pancreatic cancer treatments.
