Daniel B. Rootman

Dr. Daniel B. Rootman serves as an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), holding the Karen and Frank Dabby Chair and directing the Orbital Disease Center. He specializes in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery, managing eyelid cancers, malpositions, ptosis, orbital vascular malformations, thyroid orbitopathy, and complex skull base pathologies through advanced endoscopic techniques at Doheny Eye Center in Pasadena and UCLA Stein Eye Institute in Westwood.

His clinical expertise bridges oculofacial reconstruction with complex skull base disease management, emphasizing minimally invasive approaches for thyroid eye disease and vascular malformations.
