Dana Madalon

Dana Madalon, OTD, OTR/L, is an Assistant Professor in the OT Programs at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences' College of Health Sciences in St. Augustine, FL. With over 25 years of experience as an occupational therapist, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Indiana University and a master's degree from Quinnipiac University, and is completing her post-professional doctorate at Sullivan University.

Her research focuses on functional communication to decrease problem behaviors, homelessness interventions, and trauma-informed care. Clinical expertise includes dual-diagnosis cases (mental health with behavioral concerns), pediatric care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and hippotherapy program development.

Honors include Board Certification in Pediatrics from the American Occupational Therapy Association. She joined USAHS in January 2022 after community work finding foster homes for traumatized children in Louisville.
