Dr. Dana Ménard is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Windsor, specializing in areas such as sexual health, mental health, and workplace well-being. Her research focuses on nurse experiences during the pandemic, the Impostor Phenomenon in academic settings, and laboratory safety in scientific disciplines. She has collaborated extensively with nursing faculty like Kendall Soucie and Laurie Freeman on projects addressing healthcare worker distress. Notably, her book Magnificent Sex explores optimal sexual experiences and earned the 2021 Consumer Book Award from the Society for Sex Therapy and Research.
Dr. Ménard’s work spans diverse topics including LGBTQ+ participation in recreational sports, resilience through drag performance, and analyzing media portrayals of sexual behavior in TV shows. She has supervised PhD student Sanya Sagar and contributed to initiatives like the Caring for Our Caregivers program, offering free counseling to healthcare workers.
