Dana Blume

Dana Blume serves as Lecturer and Project Manager for Transformation & Development at the Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art (HSLU DFK), Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where she also holds leadership roles as Head of Continuing Education and Co-Chair of the Digitality Commission. Her work centers on advancing digital education, interdisciplinary learning through +Focus and ISA modules, and strategic development of continuing education programs.

Her educational foundation combines a Master of Arts in Design with specialized training in creative therapy (Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen & Hogeschool Zuyd Sittard) and interaction management (HyperWerk). She is currently completing her doctorate in art didactics and educational sciences through a joint program at the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts and Zurich University of the Arts.

Blume's research investigates systemic approaches to strengthening reflective capacities in educational settings, with emphasis on digital ethics, collaborative pedagogy, and transformative university didactics. Her work bridges art education, digital competence development, and reflective practice frameworks to address contemporary teaching challenges.

Her 2024 publications establish critical connections between digital ethics, networked teacher development, and reflective self-assessment in higher education. These works collectively advance pedagogical models for art and design education in digital environments, emphasizing ethical collaboration and practical competence transfer across institutional boundaries.

She has secured significant research funding through swissuniversities (LeLa project), Swiss National Science Foundation, and Innosuisse initiatives, while mentoring students through reflection modules and collaborative formats. Her leadership extends to representing PhD candidates on the steering committee of the Subject Didactics in Art and Design doctoral program across multiple Swiss institutions.
