Dan Samosh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Employment Relations Studies within Queen's University's Faculty of Arts and Science. He joined Queen's in July 2022, with research focusing on career success and workplace inclusion for individuals with stigmatized identities—particularly persons with disabilities. His work examines leadership emergence, disability stigma, and inclusion strategies using multi-method approaches. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto's Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources and the Institute for Work and Health. He holds a PhD in Organizational Behaviour from Queen's University.
Dr. Samosh's research interests span workplace inclusion, disability stigma, organizational behavior, social identity, and mental health intersections with employment. His applied studies inform policies for individuals, organizations, and governments seeking to foster equitable work environments.
His recent publications predominantly explore disability inclusion dynamics, mental health impacts on work, and policy interventions. Articles from 2020-2024 consistently address themes of stigma reduction, leadership development for marginalized groups, and systemic barriers in labor markets. Methodologically, he employs mixed-models to dissect qualitative experiences and quantitative trends.
Dr. Samosh teaches courses in workplace inclusion, HR analytics, organizational behavior, and research methods, emphasizing practical applications of his scholarly work.
