Dan Kaufman is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder), where he specializes in 17th-century philosophy, contemporary metaphysics, medieval philosophy, and philosophical theology. Prior to CU Boulder, he held academic positions at the University of Florida and a visiting role at West Texas A&M University. He earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2000, with notable mentors including Bob Sleigh, Vere Chappell, and Eileen O'Neill.
