Dan Fellner is a Senior Lecturer and Faculty Associate at Arizona State University (ASU) with over 25 years of teaching experience in print and broadcast journalism, public relations, intercultural communications, and travel writing. He is affiliated with the Melikian Center for Russian, Eurasian, and East European Studies and teaches for ASU's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), where he received the 2024 Award of Excellence.

Dan's research and professional work focuses on travel writing, Jewish communities abroad, and intercultural communication. His website hosts over 160 published articles and photos, covering destinations like Greenland, Kosovo, and Taiwan, with an emphasis on cultural exploration and unique religious communities.
Scientific awards include being an eight-time Fulbright Fellow, three-time Fulbright Scholar, and five-time Fulbright Specialist. He has taught journalism and communications at universities in Latvia, Moldova, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Lithuania, and Indonesia. Since 2023, he has been named six times to the Arizona Humanities Council's AZ Speaks speakers' bureau.
His work has been featured in USA Today, The Washington Post, and The Arizona Republic, and he actively contributes to Jewish travel narratives through presentations and freelance writing. He also served on the Gilbert Human Relations Commission and is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers.
