Dan A. Simovici is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where he has served since 1985 and currently directs the Computer Science Graduate Program. He also holds an Honorary Professorship at the University of Iasi (Romania) and has held visiting positions at the University of Science and Technology Lille and Tohoku University. A Senior Member of IEEE and active in ACM and AAAI, his research integrates information theory, data mining, formal logic, and algebra.
