Anthony Breitzman is a Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Rowan University's College of Science & Mathematics. His academic career spans both computer science and mathematics, having previously taught in the Math department before transitioning to his current role in Computer Science.
Dr. Breitzman's research interests are broadly in the area of Data Mining, which combines Statistics and Computer Science to identify patterns in large datasets. His specific expertise includes:

- Text Mining and Computational Linguistics
- Web Mining and Sentiment Analysis
- Intellectual Property Metrics and Citation Analysis
- Innovation Mining and Patent Analysis
His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on practical applications of data science, including Python-based author identification, matrix multiplication optimization, web usage and citation statistics analysis, cartogram visualization techniques, and electoral college bias analysis. As an educator, Dr. Breitzman primarily teaches graduate courses in data science including Data Mining, Text Mining, Databases, Data Warehousing, and Machine Learning. Previously, he taught undergraduate mathematics courses such as Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Modern Algebra.
