Professor Danë Goodsman serves as Professor in Medical Education and Academic Lead for Prehospital Medical Education at Queen Mary University of London's Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry within the Centre for Medical Education. With an educational career spanning since 1979, she holds both a PhD and first degree in education complemented by a Masters in Innovation, Creativity and Leadership.
Her research focuses on Medical Education, Prehospital Care, and Curriculum Innovation, particularly through pioneering programs like the Prehospital Care Programme (PCP) with London Ambulance Service and the Intercalated BSc in Prehospital Medicine. She directs the BLSU Leadership and Management Society and serves on the Faculty of Prehospital Care at the College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Analysis of her 15 most recent publications reveals consistent emphasis on interprofessional training, leadership development, and simulation-based education in emergency contexts. Her work bridges academic medical education with frontline prehospital care systems, establishing novel training frameworks adopted internationally.
Professor Goodsman also contributes significantly to educational governance as Trustee Governor at a Tower Hamlets secondary school and former lay inspector for Summerhill School, demonstrating commitment to alternative education models.
