Dr. Damon Camp currently serves as Coordinator of the Atlanta Police Leadership Institute at Georgia State University. He teaches part-time at Anderson University's School of Public Service & Administration, where he previously held roles as Interim Dean and Coordinator of the Command College of South Carolina from 2009 to 2018. He holds emeritus status at Georgia State University's Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology, after retiring from his full-time position there in 2007.

- J.D. from Georgia State University
Dr. Camp's research interests center on domestic terrorism, civil liability, and criminal justice management issues. His career spans leadership training for criminal justice agencies, including the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training Council, and collaborations with MARTA, the Georgia Department of Corrections, and multiple police departments.

Dr. Camp has held leadership roles in criminal justice education, including President of the Southern Criminal Justice Association (1988-89), and remains an active member of the Georgia State Bar. He has contributed extensively to professional development programs and policy research.
