Damien Sauze is a Lecturer in Economic Sciences at Lumière Lyon-2 University since 2016, affiliated with the TRIANGLE laboratory. He holds a PhD from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and has served as a former Maître de Conférences at the University of Bourgogne (2007–2016). He is a member of the CNU section 05 (Economic Sciences) since 2015 and 2nd Vice-President of its subsection. His research focuses on labor economics, workplace risks, and health economics, with notable contributions on temporary employment, psychosocial risks, and policy analysis.
Education includes a PhD (2006, Paris 1), Magistère d’Économie (2000), and degrees from Paris 1 and Grenoble II. He has held research positions at CNRS labs and taught extensively across institutions.
His recent work addresses employment instability, health at work, and social economy dynamics. Key publications include analyses of post-2008 crisis impacts on worker health and a 2018 edited volume on resource tensions in the social economy. He co-directs the Socio-Économie du Travail journal and has participated in EU-funded projects like Health at Work.
Awards include the 2016 Michèle Fardeau Prize. He advises two ongoing theses on psychosocial risks and health systems, and supervises research projects on crisis responses in the social economy sector.
