Damian Pieloth

Professor Damian Pieloth (born 1966) is a faculty member in the Department of Applied Biosciences and Process Engineering at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. He specializes in Mechanical Process Engineering and serves as Chair of the Examination Board for his department.

His research focuses on filtration technology, particle separation processes, and environmental engineering systems. Professor Pieloth employs a multidisciplinary approach combining experimental methods (particularly X-ray microscopy), computational modeling, and machine learning techniques to study depth filters, electrostatic precipitators, and rotary scrubbers.

Recent publications (2020-2024) demonstrate his active research program with increasing integration of computational methods. His work has practical applications in air pollution control, industrial gas cleaning processes, and environmental protection technologies.
