Damian Ghamlouche is the Scientific Managing Director and Founding Member of the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He holds a degree in political science from Freie Universität Berlin and has extensive experience in project development and public relations.
Academic Career:
- Since 2008: Staff member of the HEYMAT project (Volkswagen Foundation)
- 2010–2011: Project Manager of the "Young Islam Conference - Berlin 2011" (Stiftung Mercator)
- 2013–2014: Research Assistant at the Institute of Social Sciences under Prof. Naika Foroutan
- 2014: Research Assistant for the "Integration through Sport" project at the Institute of Sport Sciences
- 2014–2018: Research Assistant to the BIM Directorate
- Since 2016: Research Coordinator for the "Integration and Migration" thematic area in the Faculty of Cultural, Social and Educational Sciences
- Since 2018: Scientific Managing Director of BIM, overseeing scientific and organizational coordination.
Responsibilities: Strategic planning, research project coordination, and leadership of BIM’s office. His work focuses on migration, integration, and empirical social research.
