Dalya Marks is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health, Environments and Society within the Faculty of Public Health and Policy at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). She has extensive experience working in Public Health across London, with a focus on addressing health inequalities. Dalya is co-located in Islington local authority where she combines public health practice with academia, most recently serving as co-investigator on an NIHR Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) grant.
Her academic journey at LSHTM includes positions as:

- Lecturer in Public Health (2003-2004)

Dalya is passionate about integrating public health research into practice and ensuring her work is relevant to policymakers and planners. She is part of the NIHR School for Public Health Research at LSHTM and ARC North Thames, where she serves as academic lead for Patient & Public Involvement and Engagement. Her research focuses on the wider determinants of health, particularly place-based health, and she employs innovative participatory methods like photovoice to understand community needs.
