Dali Yang is the William Claude Reavis Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago, holding dual appointments in the Department of Political Science and The College. His expertise spans Chinese politics, governance, and political economy, with a focus on state-society dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and crisis management. He earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University and has held leadership roles including Founding Director of the University of Chicago Center in Beijing and Chair of the Political Science Department.
