Dr. Dale Green is a Lecturer in Physics at the University of East Anglia's School of Engineering, Mathematics and Physics, affiliated with the Quantum Matter research group. His work focuses on theoretical chemical physics, particularly quantum dynamical models of ultrafast two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy. He completed his PhD in the same institution under Dr. Garth A. Jones, developing non-Markovian hierarchical equations of motion (HEOM) to model vibronic systems.
Education:
- PhD: Modelling Ultrafast Two-Dimensional Spectroscopy of Vibronic Systems using non-Markovian HEOM (University of East Anglia, 2020)
- MChem: Chemistry (University of East Anglia, 2016)
Research Interests: Quantum dynamics of molecular systems, ultrafast spectroscopy, open quantum systems, photonics, and topological light-matter interactions. His contributions include modeling vibrational coherences, phonon signatures in photon correlations, and topological properties of optical vortices.
Awards:
- Katritzky Prize and Medal (2016)
- Molecular Physics Poster Prize (2018)
- Royal Society of Chemistry Poster Prize (2019)
- The Alan Katritzky Scholarship (2018)
Advising & Grants: Active in mentoring postdoctoral researchers and contributing to collaborative projects, though specific grant details are not listed. His work has been covered in media, including a 2023 article on quantum light detecting molecular vibrations.
Labs/Teams: Member of the Quantum Matter group at UEA, collaborating with experts in theoretical chemistry and photonics.
