Prof. Daive Dunkley is a Professor and Chair of Black Studies, Director of Peace Studies, and Adjunct Professor of History at the University of Missouri. His research focuses on Caribbean history, the Black Atlantic, and Rastafari politics. Key affiliations include the Kinder Institute on Constitutional Democracy. Educated at the University of the West Indies (Jamaica) and the University of Warwick (UK), he holds a Ph.D. in History. His work explores enslaved resistance, colonialism, and decolonization, with awards including the 2022 Barbara T. Christian Literary Award for Women and Resistance in the Early Rastafari Movement.
