Dagmara Gizło is an Assistant Professor (Adiunkt) at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU) in Poznań, Poland. She is also a Visiting Lecturer at the School of Performing Arts, University of Malta since 2016, and affiliated with the Centre for Research in Culture and Performance at the same institution.

Her research interests are deeply interdisciplinary, focusing on the intersections of theatre, literature, psychology, and cognitive sciences. She explores themes such as trauma, emotion, identity, and therapy through the lens of contemporary British and Irish drama. She investigates how drama functions therapeutically and how performance can be used in educational and clinical settings, particularly through Standardized Patient Programmes and hybrid methodologies in performance analysis.
Her work reflects a strong commitment to interdisciplinary and international collaboration, as evidenced by her numerous conference presentations across Europe and editorial contributions. She has been actively involved in advancing accessibility in higher education through specialized trainings in teaching students with visual, auditory, and other disabilities.

She has served as an editorial assistant for English Language, Literature and Culture (2006) and co-edited An Outline History of Irish Literature in Texts (2011). Her conference presentations cover topics such as feminist criticism, war in British literature, emotion in performance, reconciliation in Irish studies, and hybrid methodologies in reading contemporary Irish plays like Marina Carr’s Portia Coughlan.
She coordinates the Theatre and Drama in English programme at AMU and has conducted trainings on inclusive education for disabled students. Her professional development includes scholarships at the University of Strathclyde (1998), Freie Universität Berlin (1999), and multiple visits to the University of Malta (2015–2017).
