Prof. Dagmar Zsapková is a Professor of Flute at the Department of String, Wind and Percussion Instruments, Faculty of Music and Dance, Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. She is renowned as a soloist and chamber musician, performing globally with prestigious ensembles like the SKO Bohdan Warchal and Moyzes Quartet. Since 1979, she co-leads the internationally acclaimed duo Dagmar & Jozef Zsapka, inspiring original compositions dedicated to them by composers worldwide. Her pedagogical career spans over four decades, teaching at the Bratislava Conservatory since 1982 and the Academy of Performing Arts since 2007. Her students hold prominent roles in orchestras and academia. She regularly adjudicates international competitions and leads masterclasses across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
