Dagmar Brunow is a Professor of Film Studies at Linnaeus University, where she teaches, researches, and collaborates. She has been a key member of the LNUC Intermedial and Multimodal Studies (IMS) research group since 2016 and leads the IMS Memory sub-group. Her teaching includes courses like Film, Archive, and Digital Culture and Film as a Research Tool in the International Master's Degree in Digital Humanities, developed in collaboration with the Valand Academy in Gothenburg. She also oversees Sweden’s representative for the European University Film Award (EUFA) jury.
- Research Focus: Film and cultural memory, queer and feminist filmmaking, audiovisual heritage, digitization ethics, and collaborative archiving.
- Projects: Leading Det Förlorade Kulturarvet (VR-funded 2021–2024), Elin Wägner och Film (2018–2025), and Astrid Lindgren: Storyworlds and Screenplays (2023).

Publications span 2010–2025, with 15 recent works focusing on queer memory, documentary filmmaking, and transcultural heritage. Her research has been supported by Holger och Thyra Lauritzens Stiftelse and the Vetenskapsrådet. She actively contributes to organizations like European Film Academy, MSA (Memory Studies Association), and Nordic Women in Film.
