Daan van Aalten is a Professor in the School of Molecular Cell and Developmental Biology, with expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, and glycosylation mechanisms. His research focuses on O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) and its role in intellectual disability, neurodevelopmental disorders, and fungal cell wall biology.
