Cécile Hanania

Cécile Hanania is a Professor of French at Western Washington University, serving as French Major/Minor Advisor and Study Abroad Advisor. Her office is located in MH 126. During Spring 2025, she holds in-person office hours on Mondays 3:00-5:00 PM (no appointment needed) and Zoom hours on Wednesdays 3:00-4:00 PM (by appointment via Calendly). Her research focuses on contemporary French and Francophone literatures and cultures, with specialization in the works of Marguerite Duras and Roland Barthes. She teaches French at all academic levels and contributes to literary theory discourse through her interdisciplinary approach.
