Cécile Ayerbe serves as University Professor of Management Sciences at the University of Côte d'Azur, affiliated with the University School of Economics and Management and the Research Group in Law, Economics, Management (GREDEG). She currently co-heads the Master's program in Business and Society Innovation, Research in Management and Inno course.
Her research centers on innovation management frameworks, particularly examining paradoxes of openness in social innovation contexts and structural arrangements for open innovation across multinational enterprises. Key investigations include knowledge transfer mechanisms through licensing in Chinese firms and agricultural innovation dynamics in the Global South, with strong emphasis on comparative analyses between Chinese and French corporate approaches.
Ayerbe actively contributes to the Pole Innovation, Science and Technology (PIST) research initiative and leads the INNOS team (Innovation in organizations and society). Her recent publications demonstrate consistent focus on resolving tensions between openness principles and practical implementation challenges in diverse organizational settings, particularly within multinational corporations operating in emerging economies.
