Cátia Batista

Cátia Batista is a Full Professor of Economics at the Nova School of Business and Economics, where she founded and directs the NOVAFRICA Research Center. Holding a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, her work spans international migration, remittance flows, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and policy evaluation.

Active in global institutions, she collaborates with research centers like CReAM, IZA, and JPAL Europe, and has consulted for the World Bank and International Growth Center.
