Czarny Bertrand

Dr. Czarny Bertrand is an Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technical University (NTU) in the School of Materials Science & Engineering and holds a courtesy appointment at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. His research focuses on the interface of biology and engineering, with expertise in nanotechnology, biomaterials, and biomedical applications. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Paris Descartes and conducted postdoctoral research at Utrecht University. Prior to NTU, he held positions as a Visiting Senior Scientist at the National University of Singapore and a Principal Research Fellow at NTU. His work emphasizes nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems, extracellular vesicle engineering, and regenerative medicine.

Research interests include biomaterials for medical devices, targeted drug delivery mechanisms, and applications of nanotechnology in cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases.
