Her research focuses on hybrid delivery systems combining synthetic nanoparticles and extracellular vesicles (EVs) to enhance therapeutic peptide delivery. She specializes in advanced purification methods for EVs from biofluids like plasma, addressing lipoprotein interference in isolation protocols.
The 15 most recent publications span disciplines including Nanomedicine, Extracellular Vesicle Technology, Bioprocess Engineering, and Cancer Nanotechnology, with sub-fields covering EV biodistribution, protein loading techniques, tumor targeting, and EV-based drug delivery systems.
She has contributed to educational innovations in undergraduate bioprocess engineering and mentored 16 Master's and 5 undergraduate students across multiple institutions. Her work includes two patents on polymer materials for EV purification (2023 and 2024).
