Cynthia Kerson is an Associate Professor at Saybrook University in the Department of Applied Psychophysiology. She serves as founder and director of education for APEd (Applied Psychophysiology Education), specializing in neuromodulation and applications of psychophysiology for ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Certified by BCIA in biofeedback, neurofeedback, and Heart Rate Variability, she also holds a QEEG diplomate certification.
- Education: BA/MA from Sonoma State University (1999/2003), PhD from University of Natural Medicine (2008), PhD from Saybrook University (2018)
Her research focuses on EEG connectivity analysis in ADHD and normally-developing children, supported by her role as co-investigator in the NIMH-funded ICAN study. She also contributes to professional organizations, including leadership roles in the Behavioral Medicine Research & Training Foundation and certification boards.
