Curdin Conrad is Associate Professor at the University of Lausanne (UNIL) and Chief Physician at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at CHUV. He directs the high-volume outpatient clinic, handling over 45,000 consultations annually, and leads the internationally recognized Psoriasis Center, a key site for clinical and translational research.
His research focuses on the fundamental mechanisms of psoriasis and immunodermatoses, combining animal models, biobanks, and clinical trials. His work has contributed to the development of novel immunotherapies and biotherapies now in clinical use or nearing market. He is a member of the International Psoriasis Council, an elite group of the world’s top 100 psoriasis experts.
He was appointed Associate Professor at UNIL on March 1, 2018, and is actively involved in pre-graduate dermatology training and research governance as a member of the FBM Research Commission. His leadership has driven the expansion and reorganization of dermatological services at CHUV, fostering collaboration across departments such as rheumatology, immunology, and gastroenterology.
Curdin Conrad’s work is supported by significant external funding and has been published in top-tier journals like Nature Medicine. He leads multiple investigator-initiated and international clinical trials, positioning his unit as a leader in dermatological innovation.
