Dr. Cuong Dao is an Assistant Professor at the University of Bradford's Faculty of Engineering & Digital Technologies, where he serves as Programme Leader for the MSc in Renewable and Sustainable Energy. He holds a PhD in Reliability and Maintenance Engineering from the University of Alberta and previously held postdoctoral positions at Durham University and the University of Twente.
His research focuses on reliability analysis, digital modeling, and maintenance management of sustainable energy systems. Key interests include renewable energy optimization, intelligent modeling techniques, and operational simulations for mechanical engineering systems.
Dr. Dao actively leads research projects including AI-driven reliability optimization, digital twin development for heat networks, and holistic maintenance frameworks for offshore wind farms. He currently supervises 5 PhD researchers and a Research Associate in these areas.
