Csilla Suskovics

Csilla Suskovics is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Sport Sciences within the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of West Hungary. Her research focuses on pediatric growth studies, secular trends in physical development, and the biological maturation of children and adolescents. She leads the long-term Körmend Growth Study, tracking growth patterns in Central Europe over six decades.

Her work investigates BMI trajectories, somatotypes, and the impacts of hormonal changes on athletic performance. Key publications analyze menarche and spermarche trends, regional body composition differences, and skeletal development in children. She has also studied sport aptitude in young athletes and public health implications of childhood obesity in Hungary.

Ms. Suskovics collaborates on interdisciplinary projects involving anthropology, epidemiology, and sports science. Her research has contributed to understanding secular changes in growth and health across generations in Western Hungary.
