Crytal Cox is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of Computing Sciences at Coastal Carolina University. She holds a PhD in Computer Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University, an M.S. in Computer Information Systems from the same institution, and a B.S. in Computer Science from Coastal Carolina University, where she graduated as valedictorian. Before joining the faculty, she worked as a programmer/analyst at Horry Telephone Cooperative.
Her research focuses on security pattern languages and aspect-oriented programming, with teaching interests spanning software engineering and object-oriented programming methodologies. Dr. Cox has held roles from instructor to department leadership at Coastal Carolina, demonstrating a commitment to both academic and administrative excellence.
