Cristina Scuderi

Cristina Scuderi is a lecturer and researcher at the Institute of Musicology, Karl-Franzens University of Graz, where she completed her habilitation in 2021. She also teaches at the University of Vienna and serves as a professor of music history at the Conservatory of Trieste.

Her research focuses on musicology, particularly the reconstruction of opera production systems in eastern Adriatic theaters (1861–1918), cultural heritage management, and networks between historical musical actors. She has co-organized the 'Città di Udine' International Composition Competition and 'Contemporanea' Contemporary Music Festival, supported by the European Commission, UNESCO, and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dr. Scuderi has received research grants from organizations such as the Ministero degli Affari Esteri, DAAD, SAIA, and the Bogliasco Foundation. She was awarded the Willems Diploma in Music Education and has participated in international masterclasses.
