She obtained her PhD in Chemical Engineering and Processes (2016) from the University of Cantabria with a thesis on integrated forest biorefinery systems. Her roles include teaching chemical engineering courses and leading research in waste valorization, lignocellulosic materials, and pulping process optimization.
Education:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering (2016), University of Cantabria
Research Interests: Focuses on sustainable chemical processes including sulfite pulping technology, kinetic modeling of wood reactions, and biorefinery systems. Highlights include a 6-month collaboration (2013-2014) at L’Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal to develop Aspen Plus-based simulation models for sulfite pulping mills.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates with the Chemistry and Process & Resources Engineering Department and contributes to the GER research group (mentioned in her CV).
