Dr. Alberto Coz Fernández is an Associate Professor at the University of Cantabria and serves as Vice-Dean for International Relations at the School of Nautical Studies. He holds a B.Sc. (1994), M.S. (1997), and Ph.D. (2001) in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cantabria. His research focuses on Biorefinery systems, Waste Valorization for Biofuels/Bioproducts, and Lignocellulosic Material Characterization within Circular Economy frameworks. He has authored 50 SCI-indexed papers (20 international collaborations), holds an H-index of 18, and has supervised 6 PhD students.
