Cristina Borgoni is Professor of Epistemology at the University of Bayreuth. Her research spans Epistemology, Philosophy of Mind, and Self-Knowledge, with a focus on Mental Fragmentation, Implicit Bias, and Epistemic Injustice. She has held academic positions at the University of Graz, UCLA, and UCL, and earned her PhD at the University of Granada with a Spanish National Grant.
- Research Interests: Mental fragmentation, first-person authority, self-knowledge, implicit bias, epistemic injustice, rationality, and philosophical foundations of mind.
- Teaching: Offers courses in Epistemology and Philosophy of Mind, including politically oriented topics like Conspiracy Theory and Cognitive Biases (co-taught with Economics colleagues).
- Grants: Funded by Volkswagen Stiftung, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Ernst Mach Grant), DFG, DAAD, and ERC.
- Service: Served as department co-head (2019–2021), chaired hiring committees, and contributes to the European Society for Philosophy and Psychology.
