Cristiano Diddi is a Full Professor at the Department of European, American and Intercultural Studies, Sapienza University of Rome, specializing in Slavic Philology and Cultural Interactions. His research focuses on Byzantine-Slavic relations, textual criticism of Old Slavic texts, and translation history.
- Academic Leadership: Editor of Europa Orientalis and co-editor of the Leo - Laboratorio Est/Ovest series.
- Scientific Honors: President of the Italian Association of Slavists (2019-2025), National Scientific Qualification Commission member (2021-2023), and International Committee of Slavists representative for Italy.
His publications span Slavic textual traditions, Dostoevsky's modernity, and Balkan cultural dynamics. Recent works address translation theory, Old Slavic manuscripts, and Slavic-European cultural exchanges.
