Cristian Ruiz Rueda

Dr. Cristian Ruiz Rueda is a Professor in the Department of Biology at California State University Northridge (CSUN), where he has been since 2025. Previously, he held positions as Associate Professor with Tenure (2021–2025) and Assistant Professor (2015–2021) at CSUN, and as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College (2015–2018). His research focuses on multidrug resistance mechanisms in bacteria, antimicrobial development, and the role of efflux pumps in bacterial physiology.
