Overview
Crister Ceberg is a Professor and Head of Department in the Department of Medical Radiation Physics at Lund University. His research focuses on advancing radiotherapy methods for cancer treatment through improved radiation dosimetry and understanding radiobiological effects. He leads initiatives in FLASH radiotherapy and coordinates projects funded by organizations like Cancerfonden and Mrs. Berta Kamprad's Cancer Foundation.
Research Interests
- Development of FLASH radiotherapy techniques
- Optimization of radiation dosimetry in clinical settings
- Exploring radiobiological mechanisms in tumor response to treatment
- Preclinical models for radiotherapy efficacy and tumor progression studies
Projects & Grants
- Translational image-guided radiotherapy at the XenX facility (2025–2026)
- Clinical translation of FLASH radiotherapy (2022–2025)
- Past projects include studies on radiation-induced tumor recurrence and radiation biology
Labs & Collaborations
Active in the Rausing laboratory of Lund - Tumor section and the LU Profile Area: Light and Materials. Collaborates with institutions globally on preclinical and clinical radiation oncology research.
