Craig Ryder

Craig Ryder is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), affiliated with the Faculty for the Study of Culture and the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology. He contributes to the ERC-funded SMALL PLATFORMS project, led by Prof. Sahana Udupa, focusing on extreme speech in the UK.

• PhD from SOAS (University of London) on social media activism and influencer cultures in Sri Lanka
• Founder of the Digital Studies Collective (DiSCo) and curator of the DiSCo Journal, exploring digital art, culture, and methods

His research spans digital anthropology, platformisation of information, AI applications, and emergent digital methodologies, with a focus on political mobilisation and digital speech dynamics.
