Dr. Craig Richard is a Professor in the Department of Biopharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacogenomics at Shenandoah University's School of Pharmacy. With a Ph.D. in Physiology and Cell Biology from Albany Medical College and postdoctoral training at the University of Pittsburgh, he teaches Biomedical Sciences, Pathophysiology, Pharmaceutical Care, Contraception Pharmacology, and Pharmacogenomics. Dr. Richard leads pioneering research on Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR), maintaining the world's largest ASMR participant database and co-authoring foundational fMRI brain scan studies. His extensive media contributions include consultations for Netflix, PBS, and a Super Bowl commercial.
Research Focus: ASMR characterization, neural correlates of sensory responses, and therapeutic applications of sensory phenomena. Awards recognize his teaching excellence and technological innovation in education.
