Jonathan Aguilar

Jonathan Aguilar is a Professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Kansas State University (K-State). He serves as an Extension Water Resource Engineer at the Southwest Research Extension Center in Garden City, KS. His expertise includes irrigation technology, water resource management, and environmental assessment.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Kansas State University (2009)
• M.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering, University of the Philippines Los Baños (2005)
• B.Sc. in Land and Water Resources Engineering, University of the Philippines Los Baños (1996)

Research Interests: Focuses on water resource sustainability in irrigated agriculture, including irrigation scheduling, soil moisture sensors, and subsurface drip irrigation. Integrates GIS, remote sensing, and watershed modeling to address agricultural and environmental challenges.
